You like boring things, written about in an engaging fashion? Amazing. Welcome to Rente aus Stein - a newsletter that aims to have you be part of our real estate adventures in Germany.
While we try to keep things light, we actually mean (and talk) business - our experience taught us that real estate still is an awesome way to invest and earn money and this newsletter shares all the learnings we gathered along the way. We do the maths as well as the research and bring you hard hitting facts in a fluffy coat.
If you haven’t subscribed yet, would you consider supporting our work by doing that? Thank you! We send a free newsletter once a month - but have even more and even better content for our paid subscribers at just 8 Euros a month (which is a steal for something that’s going to help you earn money).
We really think that our new newsletter can hold your hand as you delve into your very person real estate adventure - with a lot of resources and learnings that are much less fun and accessible in other media. We would love it if you share it with those in your life that are thinking about investing in real estate as well.
So, what is this?
The idea couldn’t be more simple. We are trying to buy a house and tell you all about it: The fun, the frustration, the pop-culture references. A new edition, every week, directly to your inbox. Either you’ll learn a thing or two - or you’ll simply enjoy reading about a very niche (and German) corner of the internet? In either case, we are thrilled you are here!
As to who we are? Me, Lena, lover of sailboats and road trip enthusiast, dabbler in art and interior and - now - a substack blog. My writing experience ranges from cringe-y youth diaries to a more professional gig at Airbnb comms. The second person in “We”? Moritz - who doesn’t write but provides superior research skills acquired in years of slaving as a business consultant. Follow along as we build out our real estate portfolio after making a smart buying decision a couple of years ago and have answered “But how ..? questions ever since.
